On the 1st December Team 247 will walk home for Christmas in support of Help for Heroes.

With the race season finished the team thought they were going to get some rest, however the teams at 24hr Solutions had other ideas in mind as they signed the race team up for a 10 mile walk through London.

Walking Home For Christmas is Walking With The Wounded's annual walking challenge to raise funds for those who served.

This year Walking with the Wounded joined forces with Help for Heroes to get more people walking and fundraising so they can support more veterans and their families.

Prince Harry called for more collaboration within the military sector in a speech at the Veterans' Mental Health Conference at King's College earlier this year. Walking With The Wounded and Help for Heroes have been working together delivering recovery programmes since 2012 and will split all funds raised from this year's Walking Home For Christmas event to pay for vital support for veterans, including those at risk of social isolation, unemployment or mental health issues.

By creating your own challenging walk and fundraising you can give hope to veterans who have little to look forward to this Christmas and have walked in far more dangerous places for us.
